MailMateJ

A native macOS mail client for JMAP and Gmail accounts, in the style of MailMate.

What it is

MailMateJ is a personal email app for the Mac. It shows many accounts in one window, with MailMate's keyboard-driven layout: unified mailboxes, threads, a Correspondence view of all mail with a person, smart mailboxes built from conditions, and rules that file new mail.

It works with mail servers that speak JMAP (such as Fastmail and Stalwart) and with Gmail.

Gmail accounts

To add a Gmail account, MailMateJ asks you to sign in with Google in your browser and to allow it full access to your Gmail. It uses that access only to do what a mail app does for you: show your mail and labels, keep them in step with Gmail, mark, flag, move, label and delete messages when you ask, and send the mail you write.

Your mail is kept on your Mac. MailMateJ has no servers of its own: it talks only to Google and to your other mail servers. See the privacy policy.
